DNA RESULTS

This is where our journey begins.  Below are The Stat's from Ancestory.Com

Totals:

As of September 1, 2026: 

  • Number of relatives in the  database:  35,133
  • Number of relatives that have done a DNA test:   18,771 (Haven't Linked but a 100 or so, so far.)
  • Number of DNA tested 1st Cousins:   4 (Kelly McNett, Michael McNett, Charles Wooldridge, Dale Garrison)
  • Number of DNA tested 1st Cousin Once, Twice Removed, Half 1st, Cousins, and 2nd Cousins:  In The hundreds (Because our Garrison Grandfather had 10 children under first wife and 8 Children under 2nd wife.
  • Number of DNA tested 3rd Cousins:  In The Thousands
  • Number of DNA tested 4th Cousins:  In The Thousands
  • Number of DNA tested 5th Cousins:  Tens of Thousands

By the Way, we had a Uncle in the late 1700's with 3 wives (at same time: Quaker) and 35 children.

Have have 2 family members marry their 1st Cousins and many married to sisters from another family.

Where did we come from:

These Locations were derived from all 35,133 recorded ancestors in the Database.  Garrison family was mainly northern France and Germany. even though DNA results don't point that out as a whole.  My results (Danny) show in the high 80% from Scotland alone.
